Description
This Cuban Mahogany shelf was brush finished to a striking high gloss on all surfaces. It was mounted with the live edge (visible on the left) facing down, for greater visibility due to its high position on the wall. Although the back of the shelf against the wall originally featured a live edge across its entire length, we chose to face out what we felt is the more impressionable side displaying a large void with remarkable details. We used variable lengths of the 3/4″OD solid steel lag rods to maximize the support of this large/heavy shelf across its irregular depths.
Cuban Mahogany, 69″L, 11.5-14.5″D, 2″H. 3-Coat Polyurethane/Danish Oil high-gloss finish. Hung with (3) 3/4″dia. solid steel lag rods of variable lengths.
